Louisville Fun

Today I meet Heather and Brittany at Joe's crab shack for lunch. For those of you who don't know it's right on the Ohio River, which is the border of Kentucky and Indiana. The three of us had a fun time catching up and just laughing about old memories.

After a fun filled lunch and all that jazz, Heather and I went and played downtown. We stopped by the Bat Factory and the Science Center. We also found some random things, here's a little of them!

Marvelous Monday

Monday brought a lot of old friends together. I went out to lunch with Leigh Anne, Elsa, Heather, and Jacob. We went to O' Charly's and just had fun talking for awhile. Well awhile turned into almost 2 1/2 hours! Later that night we had some others join us and went to see and movie, then hit up Stake N' Shake afterwards. At the end of the night I dropped Ben off, and headed home.

Christmas Fun

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got what they wanted the most. I know I did! I got a lot of new clothes, that were much needed. I got some fun things as well, however I got the thing I wanted the most this year. Cowgirl Boots! I had asked for some new ones, and I was so excited to finally get them. Spending time with the family was fun as well. It was weird not having everyone here, including Grandma Beaver. However Christmas was good, and it was great to enjoy and remember the true reason for Christmas.
Amazing sight
Presents everywhere

With Derrick in Guatemala I had to start Christmas a little earlier this year. I had a difficult time thinking of something Derrick would enjoy or need this year. Since Wes served his mission in the same place as Derrick I got the idea from him, and Nick agreed. They both said they missed good cereal, and that it was hard to find, so that's what he got! Hopefully he liked it and can share with others... if he wants lol. I'm glad he's doing good, and time is flying by. Elder Fowles gets home in 6 1/2 months!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

While I was at work last night, Santa and Mrs. Claus were fast at work. When I arrived home there were MANY presents under the tree! Mom and Dad had said they were gonna cut back this year, but it sure doesn't look like it lol. It's a little odd not having everyone home this year. It's just three of us here at the house and its rather quite compared to other Christmas's. I hope everyone's ready and getting excited!
MERRY CHRISTMAS

What a beautiful tree!
Some of the presents! :)

Today was full of baking Christmas goodies! I made loads of snickerdoodles, which are Dad's favorite. Then I made my personal favorite cookes, Christmas Meringues! When Laura came to pick up Bethany today, I foundout that the cookies are Laura's fav also. Needless to say, I was busy all day, even Bethany helped me out... well she ate least helped eat them LOL!
Hard at work
Look at all those cookies & I'm making more!

As it's getting closer to Christmas Bethany is getting in the festive mood. She even baked some today with me, and loves to play with Grandma's fun decorations around the house!

Last Friday was the singles Christmas Party. There were many of us there and we just hung out. We played the Wii some, along with watching Elf, having the white elephant game, and even playing pool. I've always enjoyed playing pool, but haven't been the greatest at it. Brother Hutzely is amazing at the game and couldn't find anyone to beat him, until Joe showed up. Who would have known he was that good. We played all night and I even won 2 games! The party was fun and we all had a good time.

Christmas Concert

I had mentioned Joe once or twice before, but for those of you who don't know heres some about him... Joe moved to Kentucky from Tonga in April after his mission. He's a funny guy, and he's taught me some more about the Tongan culture considering thats where hes from.

Well tonight was South's Christmas choir concert. Joe came up and made a date of it. We went out to Max n Erma's for dinner then headed to the concert. Mrs. Gibson retired last year... so we thought. They couldn't find a replacement so she agreed to work part time, so she put on her festive concert as always. The tree was amazing and very large as usual. We both enjoyed the fun, then we headed to Wal*Mart and picked up some ingredients and came back to the house. We made some strawberry milkshakes and hung out with mom and dad for awhile. Afterwards Joe headed home for the night. Glad he was able to come up and have a fun night with me!

Thursday nights I go to institute and this semester we were studying, how to study the scriptures. This past Thursday was the last class one. All four classes join for the last one each semester, and boy do we have fun. We have our lesson then Christmas snacks. Then it's off to the U of L's Planetarium. They do their normal little spill about the stars and what not, than afterwards they do a special treat for us all. They put on a holiday laser show! It was really neat to go and enjoy it. My friends from all over the stake were here and I'm glad I got to see them, Joe was even there! If things go the way he's planned he should be coming up this Thursday to go to the Christmas Concert, than on Friday is the singles Christmas party. On Sunday I get the great privilege to speak in the singles branch...yippe! So he's coming up to see that, so hopefully everything goes well :) Love y'all!

Hope everyone is ready and excited for Christmas! I sure am!

COOKIES

So tonight for FHE Vince came over after work to hangout some. Mom, Papa, Vince, and I had a lesson, then it was to the kitchen. Mom and Papa headed up stairs to Santa's Workshop, so we decided to make cookies. We wanted to get into the season spirit, and try out my cookie press finally... thanks Amy :) It took a while to figure out how the dough comes off the press, but once we figured it out we had a blast! We used some cookie cutters as well and had fun. We made about 7 dozen cookies, and iced some of them as well. Its always fun to hangout with friends and not spend money. Over all everyone had a good time, and please come help eat these cookies people!!
Vince thought it'd be funny and throw floor at me... after i missed the bowl and got him

Eventful Week

I woke up this morning and knew it was going to be a long day. Today was the day, my wisdom were coming out! Rich took all 4 of my teeth out today, and I'm actually doing pretty well. I was really numb for a while of course. Once it wore off I had taken my pain killers so I haven't been in much pain. I am glad about that, and my face isn't swollen!
I went to institute tonight, and they only could tell because I can't open my mouth wide at all. I guess in the morning we'll see if the pain kicks in, or if I won't have much pain at all.

Well today is Dec 4th, Derrick's Birthday! He's been in Guatemala for around 17 months now. He's my best friend and I miss and love him, but I am glad he's doing what he needs to be. The Lord is blessing him and I'm glad he's doing well!
HAPPY B-DAY ELDER FOWLES!

Tuesday was Laura's B-day! Bethany spent the day with Grandma and I, so when La came to pick her up, SURPRISE! Grandpa had gotten a cake and we had roast and cake for her! YUMMY! I know it's a little late, but Happy Birthday Laura! Glad I could be home for it.

Also on Tuesday, I went to the dentist. I was told one of my fillings had chipped and needed replaced, no biggie. The BIGGIE was being told my wisdom teeth needed to be taken out.

As we've been doing remodeling around the house, we've spent lots of time at Lowe's. Family Home Evening the other night was spent there again. I was getting bored when I spotted this shopping cart down the aisle. I of course being the little kid in heart grabbed it and got in. Then had mom photograph the memory forever!

FOOTBALL

With every Thanksgiving there comes turkey, sweet potatoes, gravy, and football. That's right I said FOOTBALL! This year us singles decided we needed to branch off from our home wards and have our own turkey bowl! We had so much fun, and got to know each other better! Here are some fun pic that Cassandra took for us all.
