<3 Elder Fowles <3

So as everyone knows Derrick has been out for over a year now! He got my package while I was on vacation, which I was glad to hear. He was so excited for it, he took pictures and posted for his family to see! He is so cute! but here are some picture of everything since we dated, and since he's been out. He is loving his mission and the work. From what I hear and what I know of him, he is doing well. He's an amazing man and I can only imagine all the good he is helping to get done. He writes me every week, as i do him as well, and he sends the most wonderful letters. I enjoy hearing from him and reading his letters, but I also miss picking up a phone and talking to my best friend. However even though he is so far away, he always seems to know what to say to make me happy, or to just put a smile on me.
:)

Well that's just some of the MANY pictures I have of his mission. He told me about a week or so ago he sent me a couple of things, so hopefully I get them soon. Then he shocked me and told me he was gonna send something else for my b-day! That's more than I expected! I just figure I would get a happy birthday Alli, if he even remembered. I'm proud of him and all he is doing. I just want these last months to go by fast!! I MISS DERRICK!!!!

The END!

Okay so I just posted the last of the Vacation Posts. To get the whole week in story... go to the first post called, The 1st Day! That way it will make sense! Hope you enjoy! Love you all!

Day 6... my luck changes for awhile!

Friday was the day we were suppose to attend the San Diego Temple! It's my favorite temple and I wanted to go so bad, but on the drive down, we realized something that changed my hopes and dreams. My temple recommend was not signed! I have no idea how I hadn't noticed it before, or that the Provo Temple hadn't either. So we hurried up all week trying to get hold of my Bishop, and with my luck of the week, he was out of town and had just gotten a new phone number so no one had it. In the mean while i had his home number & Sister Olyer was home so she and I played phone tag all week, and she got hold of Bishop Oyler and gave him the temple number without me knowing. So Thursday night I got a call from her telling me, that he had called the temple and got it cleared so I could attend the next day! I must say I love my Bishop & his wife! Last weekend I actually went up to their cabin with them & had a blast. However back to the story. So Friday came and we went to the temple! It is amazing how wonderful it is, inside and out. We talked to one of the sister missionaries there & she told us that President Hinckely always said that the Salt Lake Temple was the King of all Temples, until the San Diego one was built. Then he said that Salt Lake was the King and finally that the Queen was the San Diego one!

The sister's took this for us so you could get Moroni with us.
Simply Stunning!
love it!
Me, by the temple I want to get married in!

It amazes me how something can be so beautiful!

So after this we went to find our hotel for the night. The other hotel only had room for us the one night. So we are on our way & Amy calls to make sure we have a room, and well the lady didn't make our reservation like she told so... so once again we were homeless! Papa & Amy got on the phone once again and worked some magic & got us a room for the last night!
We went there and got changed and I laid down for a little then it was off to the San Diego Zoo!
Those pics will be coming soon... my camera got left in the car, so Amy took them for me. We actually didn't stay that long at the zoo. We were there less than a hour! We took the Bus Tour and called it a day. We saw most of the animals from the tour and they were all asleep. So with me not feeling good, and everyone else wore out from the week, we called it a day.
We headed back to the hotel and just relaxed for the night.

Saturday we woke up an hour late, but we made it up, and got home
in time for Callie's mission Reunion!

Day 5... and not too much can go wrong.. .or can it?!

Well we slept in some on Thursday which I needed. I was still feeling sick, but we had to get going. Grandma made us waffles for breakfast..yum.. then off to San Diego! We got there and went straight to Sea World! We had a blast and saw so much! We saw a seal & otter show, with a walrus at the end of it! Then we saw the dolphins and the Pilot whale show. Sea World was the only 2 performing Pilot whales in the world! We also went and saw the fresh water fish they have. WE had some lunch and kept going. We got in line early for the Shamu 'Believe' show! We got seats on the 3rd row!!! We got SOAKED, but it was a blast! We rode some rides and saw some more animals. At the end of the day we saw the last Dolphin show, and the final show of the night with Shamu and the fireworks! We didn't want to get soaked this time since it was getting cold, but we still had good seats. Afterward we headed home... so we thought.

The Seals & Walrus he's waving!
She's riding a Pilot Whale!
How Cute is he!?

Me & my new friend

So that night when we went to the hotel that Papa was sooo kind to get for us with his points... it was AWFUL! We found it and we were suppose to have 3 beds a fridge, indoor pool. a good breakfast and what not. Well we got checked in, went up to the room and the ceiling was in the floor, there were 2 beds, and spiders all over! So Amy & Papa got on the phone along with the front desk man, and got us a new room at another hotel. This one also only had 2 beds, but was nicer and well kept! I feel bad, this room was how many point Papa was paying for both nights in the other room, that should have told us how shady it was going to be haha! So at 1:30ish that morning we got to our room.

and my luck goes on... day 4

Wednesday we drove up to LA and Hollywood! We went to Universal Studio's that day. As we came into the park I was stopped and asked to do a short survey so I agreed. Glad I did, I got me, and my group (Amy, Nick, & Callie), to the front of the line for a tour of Universal! We got to see lots of neat sets for both movies and TV shows! After that, my day wasn't soooo great. My luck was still the crappiest. I hadn't felt good all week along with everything else that was going on with me. But while at Universal we went to the first aid station to get me some medicine. While there they took my temperature and boy was I sick. I knew my body ached all over, but now I had a fever too! They told me to go home, but I didn't want to make everyone else go too, so I did my best and toughed it out. I might have complained some... but I did my best. However Nick and I did volunteer for a show. So we both got to be part of it! We made sound effects for movies. That was pretty fun, but I was ready to go after that.

Me with the Universal Studio sign!
Hollywood here I come!
On the tour we saw many neat things. Here's the car that was used
in Little Rascals!
AHH! MY ARM!
This was the set for the Who's! How amazing!

This was our last day with grandparents. The next morning we set off for a new adventure!

And the pain goes on...

I forgot to mention... on Monday along with the swollen feet... my new shorts I had on, the zipper broke. So I had it safety pinned together... this week was not my week it seemed, and it was only Monday!
So on Tuesday we headed to the beach and I thoguth for sure nothing could happen. Nick taught us all how to boggy board & it was sooo much fun! It took awhile, but I got the hang of it. Then we ate a lunch that Grandma Jones made for us on the beach. I then wanted to take pics on the rocks, then be barried in the sand, rinse off then head home. BUT those plans changed as soon as I took the pics on the rocks. I was getting down when a tide came over and took me off the rocks. I guess it was trying to be nice, but instead, it busted my knee. So needless to say we than headed home to get it cleaned up.

I was ready to get going!
Boggy Boarding anyone?!
I risked it & took my camera in the shallow end to get a pic of me with the water.
My cute pic on the rocks!
My knee after the rocks... it looked worse up close.
The blood was drying on my hands it was gross!

So after the beach we went back to the grandparents and got cleaned up and headed off to Disney Land for the rest of the night. We took it kind of slow since my feet were still swollen some, and my knee hurt to bend. But we still had a fun time. We got there just before the Parade, and got really good seats on the sidewalk!
Nick, Amy, & I on the teacup!
Me in the teacup! Callie & I actually rode them!
Mickey (my old boyfriend when I was little) & Mini at the end of the parade!

We stayed till 11:30 that night and went shopping and watched the fireworks!
We then got ready for our trip the next day!

2nd day... and start of the downfall...

So the first day we went to Disney Land and California Adventures! What fun! We had a blast only thing was... at the end of the day the whole back half of my feet were swollen. It hurt really bad to walk or even sit. I had to sleep with my feet up for most of the trip. I also had to go buy some new shoes and try to see if that would help. It helped them from getting worse, but they caused blisters, which I could deal with better. Also that night we went to In-N-Out, so I could have it for the first... and last time. It was okay, but it wasn't as good as what everyone says they are. But now I can say I've been there!

Amy & Nick waiting in line for Indy!
Callie & I waiting in line also!
A... Is for ALLISON..not Amy hehe!
I finally meet who my nickname was after...
Miss Piggy!
It speaks for itself I think

That ended the first real day of vacation. More adventures to come.

The 1st day!

So this was the first day of vacation! We stopped in St. George and took pics with the Temple. Then when we got to New Port we stopped by the Temple there as well!

It was a good trip down there and we of course made it safely. We stayed with Nick's grandparent's so we headed to their house for the week. When we got there, they had a feast in the making for us. They grilled out Steak! Then we played some games and headed off to bed to rest up for the coming week. Now the real fun begins!

Fire Engine!

So this past weekend I went back to Idaho to drop off some of my things. While there I made a stop at the Pocatello Fire Station! I had a blast I was just driving around and I saw this old fire engine so I stopped and asked if I could take some pics on it and the firemen were so nice and took some for me! Who would have known that I would get so excited over something sooo old, but really neat lol.

The Fire Engine... a little dark but fun!
I think they need a new windshield!

I got to drive!!!
Look at me look at me... I got to ride on it as well!
Ring-a-ling-ling! Here comes the fire engine!

I know I'm corny... but I had a blast meeting them and playing around!
