"Tea" Party

Tonight Gavin went to his little girlfriends third birthday party tonight. Violet had a "tea" (lemonade) party at the park in the gazebo, and it was adorable. Gavin was the only boy there besides her bothers, so I thought he and I would have a little fun. As a joke I dressed Gavin up in a dress, pearls, a hair-clip, and painted his nails. Everyone got a good laugh and Gavin actually liked the dress and picked it out himself. We bought it planning on giving it to her so we took some clothes for him to change into. The kids decorated their own cookie to have with their lemonade, played musical chairs, had a race while balancing dinner mints on a saucer, had cake, and played on the playground.

Hot Stuff Shopper

Pay days Gavin and I have a standing lunch date when we are out shopping. We either eat at Sam's Club or we go to his favorite Steak N' Shake, today it was the latter but only after we shopped at Sam's with Daddy. Then we went on to Meijer and he got to ride Sandy for doing such a great job running around with me today as we also had to run to the doctor. Here are a few from our day out and about. I love the time I get to spend with him and I am grateful that I am able to while Clint goes to work to provide of us and all our boys. We are all truly blessed to have one another.

Collin Play-date

Gavin and I went over to Collin and Amber's house today for a mommy and me play-date. Those boys really are best buddies. They are content playing together, or even just playing in the same room together but on their own. Needless to say though, they both got real dirty outside while having lots of fun. I'm grateful that he has friends that I hope will be lifelong ones.

Shaving lesson, KY Derby, and Farmer Gavin

Our day started off with a shaving lesson from Daddy. It was his very first time shaving with him and he thought he was such a hot stuff and a big boy it was cute!

Spring time in Louisville means the KY Derby and it's always a time of the year I miss living there. One tradition that I keep is making Derby Pie, which is my ultimately my favorite pie but it is very rich so I only have it once a year.

After the race we went out to my in-laws for a little while and Gavin loves to play at the farm.
