MLK Day

Martin Luther King day, want to know how we spent ours? We had some leaks under the house so we celebrated by partying with the plumber! It was funny because when Clint told me they had someone on there way over to our house already I said I bet I know who it is, and I was right. Our friend Dallas from our church works of the company we use and it was him. He had been almost 3 years that he came over to put in our new hot water heater and at that time he was in-active so he nor I knew that someday we'd know we'd be friends. Dallas and Gavin have a fun relationship because he normally sits behind us in church, so when Gavin saw it was him he flipped out. He decided that he needed to be Dallas's assistant. When he would go under the house in the crawl space Gavin looked down the hole and said "Where Dallas go?!", and give me a really concerned face. When Dallas left Gavin waved him on and then had more "Man-time" with daddy. Gavin started out on Daddy's lap but then sat in his lawn chairs in the living room playing Lego Batman. Gavin wasn't really playing but thought he was and even told me the right buttons he needed to push. I love that he loves his daddy so much, sad that the twins had to miss out on all the fun, they had to makeup snow day, so they had school.

Mommy Son Date

Today Gavin and I went to go get his haircut and there was a wait over an hour, so we killed sometime and had a date. We went to Red Robins and had pizza, chocolate milk for him and I got a root-beer float. Well when my drink got there he was upset he saw it had ice cream and his didn't, so of course I just had to share. As we were leaving they came out with a load of their red, Red Robin balloons and he raced over and asked for one. I am proud to say that my 2 year old has some of the best manners, even compared to some adults nowadays. He makes certain to always say please, thank, and you're welcome. He literally ran right up to the man and said "Balloon please!" Then once he handed him one said with a big grin, "Thank you!" and ran back to me and thanked me as well. After our little date he was tired so we just headed home and decided to try again tomorrow.

Before Gavin goes to bed every night we have family prayer in his room. It's a sweet moment as his love for his brothers is so strong and shines through. He insists on sitting in between them as they kneel for prayer. I hope one day when they're older he looks back at moments like those and remembers that at the end of the day Carson and Cole love him and that they are brothers for eternity and that's what matters!

Cowboy Sunday

For Christmas Gavin some a new church outfit from my parents and a cowboy hat from his other grandparents. Well today for church he wanted to wear both. He was so adorable that I had to take some picture. I don't normally take pictures during church but he also started feeding Cookie Monster a cookie so I had to capture the moment. After church we came home and Gavin decided he needed to help. He has learned how to master the microwave so I put him right to work.

Bathtub Fun

Gavin loves bath time like most little kids. For Christmas he got some new tub toys and I think it's safe to say he loves them. He even got a new hairdo. He's a cute!
