Catching Up

It's been a rather long time since I last posted, so here I am trying to play catch up. Honestly not too much has happened. November 23 my nephew Austin was born! Then the family had a good Thanksgiving just relaxing and spending time together. Then comes the excitement that comes along with the month of December for us. We have 3 birthdays, plus Christmas. Laura's birthday is the 2nd and she was hoping that Claire would share her birthday. However my little niece Clarie just missed the 2nd and was born Dec 3rd @ 1:35 am. How amazing is that our family was blessed with not one but two sweet babies this year. Just a couple days after the newborn Papa had his birthday on the 6th! That first week was awful busy, but also fun.

After the excitement had settled down it was time to prepare for Christmas! Christmas is such an amazing time of the year. We get to ponder and reflect upon our Savior. He has done so much for each and everyone of us it's hard to comprehend it at times. His birth was such a marvelous event.
This year everyone but Heather's family was here for Christmas. We sure missed having them, but it was still a good Christmas for us overall.

December 27th my friend Josey turned 21! So a group of us went out to dinner and what not. We had a good time and all made it home safe and sound that night. Happy Birthday to everyone!

Gummy Bear

Today when I walked out of the house there was a package sitting there. When I looked closer it had MY name on the label. I opened it, and this is what was in side! Jeff sent me the world's largest gummy bear. 5 pounds of gummy bear, and it's equivalent to 14,000 normal ones!

Pumpkin Roll

My obsession for pumpkin has struck once again. Papa was wanting something made out of his pumpkins, however he didn't know what to make, so I took over and made my homemade pumpkin roll! I peeled, cut, and boiled the pumpkin and made the puree. From there I was able to start the baking. Here are some of the pictures from it all. Sorry if the pictures aren't the best, they're from my phone.

No idea what to call this...

I guess I should catch everyone up on my life as of lately. I haven;t really done too much but work, hangout with DJ, and the singles. Then this past week I had started a a new job and well long story short glad to not be working there anymore. However in the short time I did work there the kids in my class happened to get me sick :( I broke down this week and went to the doctor and had a sinus infection and 2 ear infections.... yuck! Anyway tonight I should be going to a haunted house... should be interesting I hate being scared. I need a strong man to come and keep me safe, any suggestions?!

Pumpkins

We all know that I love anything pumpkin, so today DJ and I headed off to Huber Farm to pick our own pumpkins! Fun I know. Even though we might not have pictures of us with our pumpkins, I promise we did get them (DJ hates pictures taken so I was lucky to get what I did ). We had a really good time. Afterward we went back to his place and just hung out until he had to go to work tonight. Overall it was a perfect fall day <3

Blah

As I lay here about to get ready for work I thought I would take a few minutes to write for myself. I miss my life out west. This move really is harder on me than I thought it would be. All my friends are out there and seeing them all together kinda hurts. I'm glad they're all there for each other, trust me, however I just wish I was there with them. Yes I might have my church friends here, but it's not the same. I can't just up and go on a road trip when I like, go to the lake, or go over to someones house and just spend the night because we want to. One thing I have missed the most is Sunday game night with all my friends. I started it in Utah with my friends there and continued to do so in Rexburg. It just feels like now that I live back here, my life is planned out and I feel like a puppet. I feel like I have certain things to do and if I do anything else or hangout with the wrong people that I have to explain who and where I am going. I am use to living a life where I can just up and do something, or not really have plans but just hang out at someones house. Here I feel like I can't do this. For the last week or so I've just started to feel like I'm in a box with noway out and that the walls are coming in on top of me... (Have I ever mentioned I am claustrophobic?)... not a good feeling. Just knowing that this time the move is for good is weird. I know we all grow up and must move on at some point in time. I just am having a difficult time with this, even more so since I don't know what I'm doing with my life. I feel like a ball of emotions and that I'm going to explode if I don't get my thoughts out, so that is the reason for this post. Sorry if it's not cheerful or has anything entertaining or exciting for you to read. If you have made it to this point of it... good for you... this post is mostly just for me, but of course you are more than welcome to read. There is a lot more on my mind, but sadly I have to go to my dead end job (But I am at least glad I have a job). Loves.

So much has happened

I haven't really blogged about my life as far as what I've been doing since the move, so I thought I would just catch up real fast. I'm not the greatest at taking pictures of everything, I usually steal them from others :) So I'm sorry for the lack of them.

Anyway, I went to the zoo with Laura, Dom, and Bethany one day a couple weeks back. We had a blast. However there were geese that kept trying to eat our food so I would chase them away. Bethany thought it was hilarious! For the next couple of days she went around tell everyone the story and couldn't stop laughing long enough to tell it even.
Bethany and I at the zoo

I also went to state fair with a good friend! Had a blast and actually rode some of the rides this time. We were standing in line and of course this girl does what on the ride... throws up! YUCK!
It kind of made me laugh though in away because everyone around us was drunk and riding things that just made them sick.... stupid move on their part! Overall we had a really good time just hanging out and catching up.

I've also been going to the single ward of course... I meet this girl named Kim who was just baptized and we're going to move in together at some point (hopefully soon). It's a little weird going and seeing kids younger than me that were in young men and young womens going. It's also weird because my good friends all got married this summer who I usually hangout with.
My first week back I did meet this man named Nathan. He's a pretty cool guy and we had hung out for awhile, but nothing too special, but I enjoy being around and getting to know everyone new in the ward.

A couple weekends ago my family went to Herber's orchard. When I was little we use to pick apples and then come home and make applesauce. So we went and this year made apple crisp. It was delicious!
Granny went with us!

Let's see here, what else is new? I'm still working at Hometown and looking for a better job, more of a career hopefully. Besides that my life is pretty much boring. I just hangout and go to work, church, and watch movie with mom and papa.

Hope things are going well for everyone!

Missing My Girls

I decided that it's been awhile since I posted. I did make it home safely even though it was kind of a long trip... and I don't mean the driving part. Heather and Rylee both got sick... but that's done a over with! We got home and had my birthday with ALL of our family even both sides of grandparents were here. It was good to see them since it was going on almost 3 years since I have seen some of them. Then our cousins came down and played with us for a little while. Then finally it was back to the "normal" of just our family. Once Heather and Rylee left, it really really set in I was here for longer than a visit.
I spend most of my time at work, church, or looking for another job. So lately I have had major withdraws from my girls! You never know what you have until it's gone, well not having Naomi and Marissa here isn't as easy as I thought. The three of is have done just about everything together for the past two years. It doesn't help that the friends I have here, I don't really get to see and hangout with. So most of the time I honestly just feel alone. I miss my friends and being on my own. I miss being able to come and go and see whoever I want whenever I want. I know times change and so do we, but sometimes the changes are more than a little and it's hard to deal with. Besides having friend withdraws life really is pretty decent. I enjoy being able to see my parents and talk to them. It's also nice having Amy and Laura not too far down the road from us. now if we could only get Heather back this way, we'd all be close to home again!

Wide Open Spaces

So I'm sitting here studying and listening to some music. The song Wide Open Spaces came on and it made me think about when I came out to school. When he all drove out to drop Heather out to school this kinda became the theme song for all of us girls and our move. Mom thought it was fitting in that way. AS I am getting ready to move back east there are a few things I am going to miss about the west that I never thought I would.
1. Mountains
2. The snow... (as long as it's a decent amount in the WINTER months)
3. My amazing friends I have made!
4. Having the freedom to grow and become who I am
5. Simply I will miss road trips

I know some of these might sound corny but over the past years of living here I have actually grown to love the west... just not the cold! I had my wide open spaces to learn and grow in and I'm as ready as I can be to head back to the 'city' life.

Logan Temple

Since I've been going to Logan more often I decided that I would stop and take some pictures of the temple. This temple is unique and I love how it looks. Besides that it's special since it's were my grandparents were married.

Bear Lake

One thing I always enjoyed growing up was when we took Sunday drives. Well Jeff and I decided to take one up to Bear Lake. Here are some of the amazing pictures I took!
