Clint's 37th!

This past Monday was Clint's 37th birthday! When I asked him what he wanted to do (he took the day off), he said he wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese, so we did. He wanted to spend the day playing with Gavin, we went shopping and got them both new shoes and played hoops at shoe carnival, had breakfast, and opened his gifts. There's no real order, but here are pictures of the birthday fun.

Gavin loved this game and played it several times since it was one he could do all on his own.

Putting his tickets in his cup.

His first pair of brand name shoes. He's at the age where he's feet aren't growing as quickly and they were on sale so we decided he could use them.

Selfie Time!

Gavin absolutely loves to take pictures, mainly selfies. When I say he loves to he to take them, I mean he really takes them and gets upset if he doesn't get to. Today he also figured out how to change the tones of them, Here are a few of my favorite ones.

Day Date

Gavin and I had a fun day date. We started out by going to the bank and he thought it was "cool" in his own words because they gave him a sucker. Then we did some shopping (for daddy's birthday coming up) and had lunch. We went to Steak and Shake and he met a little girl and the two of them flirted. He insisted on putting on his hat by himself and we played and colored. Overall he and I had fun together, he really is my best friend and I am lucky to be his mom and call him son!

Gavin just HAD to carry the bag to the car.

Stopping to look both ways before we cross the street, so smart!

When we got home Gavin decided to play hide and seek. Silly boy doesn't realize the sun and his shadow game him away.
He spends many hours standing in this window watching cars and trucks go by. He also likes to watch for daddy to come home from work as well.

Candy Cardinal

A while back I mom has asked if I would help one of our cousins daughters with her a school project. I of course said yes and today was when I got Candy the Cardinal in the mail. Each student in her class got a stuffed cardinal to send to each geographical location in the country to help them learn what makes it unique. So today Carson, Cole, and Gavin took Candy on a little walk across the street. For those that don't know, we live in the little town of Elwood home of Red Gold, the tomato products, and well there headquarters is literally our front yard, so we thought we'd show her around a little. Gavin fell in love with Candy.

Painting Artist

Gavin LOVES to paint! In the last month or so he has figured out how to use paintbrushes the right way and won't just one picture at a time but several. Here he is having fun with me today before the twins got home from school.
