Spider Man

Spider man made a visit to our house at bedtime tonight! Gavin kept bouncing around on the couches singing the theme song and acting like he could fly.

Copy Cat

The twins do their homework at the kitchen table all the time. Well today Gavin decided he needed to join his brothers during our practice spelling test. He colored as they wrote. I completely adore and love the fact Gavin looks up to his brothers.

Hog Roast

For those who don't know I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Our local branch had a Hog Roast today. I must say everyone had a great time. There was plenty of food, fun, and games. Gavin really loved playing with all the big kids and keeping up with them.

True Outside Boy

Went on a walk with Gavin today and he ended up pushing the stroller himself. When we got home we played with his trucks and made sand castles, He can't get enough of being outside.

Birdie Bath

Today Gavin had his first "Birdie Bath". I know it might sound weird or odd, but as a child we use to take them all the time after playing outside barefoot all day. A Birdie Bath is when you sit on the edge of the sink and wash your feet, Gavin absolutely loved it!

Labor Day Road Trip

This past weekend Clint, Carson, Cole, Gavin, and I went a a little, okay long road trip. We started Saturday off bright and early at 6:30 AM and headed to Charleston West Virginia. It's about a 5 1/2 hour drive and we went to go see my grandma Ethel. She is my dad's step-mother, and the only grandma I've known on his side as his mother died before I was born.On August 16th she celebrated her 91st birthday and the twins have never met her, so we figured they needed to before it was too late. Gavin has spent time with her before as he and I took a road trip with her earlier this year. Once we got there we spent some time at the house with her and then took her out to lunch. All three of the boys had a good time with her and she loves them! When we took her back to her house she gave them each something from the home so they can remember her by. It meant the world to her and them. I'm so glad to have her in my life and that she's been able to spend time with my family.

After spending time with her, we headed down to Kentucky, another 4 hour drive, to my parents. We got there that night and had dinner and ice cream. Then the next day we went to church and had a late lunch/early dinner and after went over to my sister Amy's for cookies and pie with two of my sisters, and our families. We headed back home after that though to head our trip.

Today is labor day. We're spending the day relaxing at home with the boys before school starts back up in the morning. I am so grateful for all those that work hard in my life to help provide for me.
