Family Photos

While in Kentucky we had family pictures taken. Gavin wasn't in the best of mood so we didn't get too many good ones of our individual family, but we got at least one good one.

All because 2 people fell in love!

Master Painter

We ended up not painting our pumpkins for family home evening on Monday, so Gavin and I did them today. Last year Gavin finger painted his and this year he loved using a real paint brush as he;s old enough to know how. He had fun and was really concentrated the entire time. HE told me he was "paint MYYY punkin mom-mom, punkin!". Needless to say he loves pumpkins as much as I do and painting. I ended up painting Jake on the family pumpkin from Jake and the Never Land Pirates. Gavin was beyond excited when he say the finished thing, it's not perfect, but I say it looks good.

Stoney Creek Pumpkin Patch

Since Clint couldn't join us for the Zoo Boo Gavin and I decided he needed to get into the spirit of Halloween and go to the pumpkin patch with us. So we went and had fun together. We took a hayride into the pumpkin patch and it was Gavin's first time picking a pumpkin like that, but also Clint's/ I couldn't believe in his 36 years here on earth that he never had picked a pumpkin, he said they always just bought them at the store. After we got a family one we took Gavin to pick out a little one and he knew which one he wanted. HE went straight to it and picked it up and carried it all the way to the car. He offered him help but he said "No, no, mine!" IT was too cute, it was just heavy enough that it weighed him down on the one side and made him slouch, but light enough that he made it to the car. Monday for Family Night we'll paint his and I might carve our family one or paint it also, I haven't decided yet. After we took our pumpkins to the car we went back to all the events going on. He played in the hay maze, the play ground, on the tractor, and then took his first pony ride. His pony was named Chief, and he loved him! Hopefully he'll get to ride again someday. I love riding horses and would love to get one someday and maybe Gavin will want to ride also.
Anyway here's some of the fun from our day!!

Hayride to the patch!

IT was adorable, Gavin saw Daddy checking the pumpkins so he had to also.

Him walking with his pumpkin to the car, he is too much!

Putting his pumpkin safely in the trunk to take it home

He made a friend in the hay maze

They make a pumpkin tree, it was really cool.

Such a big boy! He rode Chief all by himself and wasn't even scared!!
