I Love to See the Temple

Today Clinton and I had a wonderful opportunity. We were able to take our family through the Indianapolis LDS Temple open house. All 3 of our older boys are baptized members of the church and by their own choice. Well long story short in the last year and half or so our oldest son has gone off the deep end. We hope and pray, but we know this honestly might be the one and only time we will have our entire family in the temple together. It was a blessing to be able to see the emotions and awe in all 4 boys. Cody might not have told us out right that he liked it, but he did say "it was alright I guess", which is HUGE for us. Gavin was the most excited and I love the spirit he has. It was hard to keep in "in-line" as he couldn't stand still because he wanted to explore but I know it was because of what he felt. I am grateful for the gospel and the blessings that come from being sealed in the temple to my husband. I pray and hope that someday our family will be whole and complete as long as we remain faithful and set the examples our boys need from us.

New Bike

Today Gavin got a surprise when we went shopping. He has liked bikes since he was little because of his older brothers riding and that he use to ride in the bike trailer. Today he picked out his own NEW bike!  He is in absolute heaven. My baby isn't a baby anymore it seems.

Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art

It's rained almost everyday for 2 weeks and I must say the boys and I have been a little antsy. Today I decided we needed to breakout and to use one of our passes we have. Today's trip was to the Eiteljorg Museum here in Indianapolis. Most people don't know or realize that I married into a Native American family, and the museum is all about the American Indians.
Clinton and I have taken Gavin before but it was the other 3's first time and they seemed to enjoy it. Overall I would say that today was a win. They got to get energy out and I didn't go insane!

Happy Birthday Dominic and America

The Fourth of July is a double holiday for our family as we celebrate Dominic's Birthday along with Americas. Clint and Cody drove down and spent part of the day with the rest of us. It was a long day and the last one of our trip. The kids made a water slide, had water fights, played all sorts of outside games, had a cookout. Gavin had his first ice cream truck experience and LOVED it! Our family tradition is to make homemade peach ice cream so we made that along with mint chocolate chip, Dominic's pick. To end the day off we set off loads of fireworks.

The pictures are not in any order of what happened, but they are all mixed up, enjoy!
