Bluegrass Balloon Glow

So this weekend is the Bluegrass Festival, and Josh told me that the balloon glow was last night. SO of course I wanted to go! I'm really glad I did, it was a blast. I had never been to one, just watched on TV, and neither had he, so we were amazed at it all. After the glow, they had fun fireworks! it was nothing like Thunder over Louisville, but they were still just as pretty!

The Norton Healthcare balloon was blowing in the wind all night long. It literaully was a foot over our head at one point! Everyone around us was running away, but Josh wouldn't let me, he thought it was cool, and it was!
Josh just hanging out waiting for the fun to start!

After all the fun was over with the balloons and fireworks, we headed home. However since we were one of the first ones to arrive, we got a good parking spot up front, but first in, last to leave. So we turned the car off, and just turned on the radio and danced the cars away! What an amazing night!

Speech Therapy all over again...

So tonight for family home evenings we went on a little field trip. We started out towards Lowe's to get more supplies for the house renovation. Then off to dinner at the local Olive Garden. That place is amazing and one of my favorites. As we were leaving, mom noticed a lady standing out side that looked familiar. So she called me back and sure enough, it was no one more than Ms. Kim Baker! Well she's married now with kids, but still the same sweet person. For those of you who do not know who Kim is, she was my first speech teacher. The first time I meet Kim I was 3 years old, and no one could understand anything I tried to say. She was my teacher for 3 years, then I moved on to Elementary where I had Mrs. Griffth. Kim had a big role in my life, and I am grateful for all the hard work she and others put into helping me over the years.

An amazing and uplifting day!

I'm sure right now mom is blogging about the same thing, so some of you might get to hear it twice... sorry!

Today was my first Sunday back in Kentucky, and boy was it a good one! I was sitting there in church and the Bishopric walk in the front door, then the Stake President, then Elder Bednar and his wife!!! Elder Bednar's son is in our ward and they were here visiting. For Sacrament we were honored to hear from both of them. What an amazing thing, to be able to listen and see an Apostle of the Lord! Then we had Sunday School as normal. For the 3rd hour, everyone came together again (minus the Primary). Elder Bednar held a open question meeting. Being able to listen and learn from what he and his wife had to offer, is such an honor! He is a witness of Jesus Christ, an a Apsotle! I stand in awe! What a blessing to be in the presence of him! I am grateful for this oppurtinity to have meet him. I am glad he was willing to share his knowledge and strength with us!

Power Outage in Kentucky

So I'm sitting in the Detroit airport getting ready to board my last flight home! However I am not too excited about the welcome home present I have been given by good ole Mother Nature. She decided to have a BIG storm last night and knock out most of Kentucky's power! So when I get home it will be pitch black! I will have no hot water, no hot food, no internet, no comp, no tv, no nothing hardly! And the greatest of it all...it's going to take 2 weeks to get power back... 2 stinking weeks. So don't worry if I don't post between now and then. They are loading the plane now so I should get going. Enjoy your weeks! I'll miss you all! LOVES

I'm almost home!

Last Night

I'm sitting here in Heather and Bryan's living room getting ready for bed, when the thought hit me... 'this is your last night in Utah!' Crazy I have lived here for almost 6 months and now I'm moving once again. I'm VERY excitied to be going home and having Mom, Papa, Laura, Wes, & little one around. I've spent time with the family out here for awhile, it will be a fun change to have the rest of the family with me. I guess I should be getting to bed its almost midnight and I gotta get up early and head to the airport! This time tomorrow, I'll be in LOUISVILLE!!
*Home Sweet Home*
oh ps... Mom, Papa... I'm expecting my Krispy Kreme on the way home ;) hehe
LOVE YOU!

Trip to the Doctors... again

So it seems like I am always going to the doctor for something. For the past 2 weeks my Jaw has been acting up. I've been having pressure and pain off an on for a long time, but these past 2 weeks have been awful! So mom recommended going to the doctor in case it was an ear infection. I went and she told me I have the start of one, so they gave me an Amoxicillin. I also was told I have a viral infection. I was told they should get better withing the week, or a little longer.
The last thing they threw on me was the best of all! I have TMJD, Temporomandibular joint disorder! When I get home I need to see my best friend the dentist, Rich! So hopefully things will workout for the better.

*Birthday time again*

Amy with her gifts!

Yesterday was Amy's birthday and we had fun! I got some things done while she was at work and Nick was at school. That way when they got home we could party it up! We watched some Cosby and then Amy got impatient, and decided to open her gifts. She got tons of cool gifts and books. Afterward we played Deal or No Deal, then hung out till we went for dinner. Applebees was amazing! Amy and I both got their steak, and boy was it delicious!!! Callie joined us so it was the 4 of us like normal lol.
Nick, Amy, Callie, & I

Callie then parted from us and we went to WalMart. Amy and I had some fun buying things to go with her gifts. Later we came home and had cake and ice cream. Amy wanted a strawberry cake with white icing for her and it was YUMMY! While we ate cake we watched the Game Plan. I love that movie, but Amy and Nick had never seen it. Over all I think we had a great day! Glad I could be here to share the fun with you Amy! Can't wait for more parting this weekend with the rest of the families!

What a day!

What a day! That's all I really have to say... just what a day!
