Prayers ARE answered!

The reason why I moved up to Rexburg for the semester was so I could petition and get into the ONLY class needed to graduate this July. After many hours of prayers from myself and others, I have finally been given the OK and got into the class! Graduation here I come!!!!!!

The Ridge

So here is a little of what my place looks like as of this moment. Nothing too exciting... it's really big and doesn't have a lot of stuff yet, but my closet sure is SMALL! I'm use to my walk-in :(

My Room
My Bed
I had to decide what to keep out, what a sad day!
We have 2 bathrooms and 2 vanities, this is mine
Our very large living room with just a couch and table... we need a TV and what not!

Half the kitchen
The other half
Our Pantry :) VERY large, I love it!

Malad Idaho

Yesterday (Friday) was the official moving day. I left Utah and I am now in Idaho! On the way up to Rexburg I was thinking about Jenkin and wanted to visit him, so I made a stop by Malad. Since no one from our family was able to attend his funeral and burial I was lost as to where he was in the cemetery. So what else was there to do but start the hunt. I walked up and down every row. Now you wouldn't think this would be AS hard with the name Jenkin Jones, however half the town are Jones or Jenkins. Over an hour later I finally came to Grandpa Jenkin's headstone. He was burried by himself since he refused to be buried next to his first wife, and his family wouldn't let him be next to Grandma. Os I turned around and on the tombstone on the row before him his name was on the back listed as a child. I was glad to know he was around his family and next to his parents, he wasn't all alone after all. So here are a few pictures I took for family history and what not. Papa wanted one of Jenkins parents also, here they are!!! OH and the cemetery happened to also be on Jenkins Ave. Here's the sign....

Reality is Setting in

So here I am sitting in an empty apartment while I am getting my carpets cleaned and reality is hitting me; I am moving! I have cleaned this place from top to bottom and with the help of lovely brother in laws have loaded up my car (and theirs). My heart is dropping as I am leaving my home. I know this is what needs done, however that does NOT make it any easier. I have had amazing friends while living here and a wonderful man in my life. As much as I am going to miss them I will be back to visit, I will make certain of that!! Jay and I went out to lunch today and as we went our own ways today once again I had that feeling of a little piece of me was left behind. I had to laugh when I said I hated goodbyes, then said see ya in 2 weeks. I'm such a loser!! In the morning I will start the well known drive up to Rexburg. Anyway that pretty much covers what's on my mind.

Sushi and Lollicup

Last night I went out with Jayson and I had a really good time. We got Sushi for dinner and it was good. Well more like Jay got the Sushi and I ate some of it, and I got chicken teriyaki. However the sushi really wasn't too bad. I've had sushi before so I knew what I was getting myself into to a certain point but he got some things I hadn't tried before. I forgot to take pictures but here are some that I found that are of what I ate!

So if me eating sushi wasn't enough for a night here is more! Afterward he was excited about this slushy place and took me there. This was NOT a normal shlusy place! While on his mission Jay was introduced to Vietnamese food and likes it, so he wanted to share that with me. Lollicup is the place we went and they make their slushy's with boba. Boba are large black tapioca balls (compared to the small opaque balls of tapioca mostly found in puddings) that are chewy in texture. The boba balls were slightly warm and had a nice chew, but were a little on the mushy side. Would I just go get one for fun all the time... NO! However it was fun to try something new. You can see the boba at the bottom of the cup...

The rest of the night was spent talking and just enjoying the time together. At the end of the night it was hard to let go of each other. This might possibly be the last time we see each other for awhile as I am moving. As I drove away I felt like a piece of me was left behind, my heart. BUT I will be back in a couple of weeks since my sister Laura and her family are coming out, so it will be good to see him then also. I made sure last night he knew he HAD to make time for me then :) Overall I had a really good night with Jay and I miss him already!

Colors, Colors, Everywhere!

Every year the Sri Sri Radja Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, along with other Hindu temples across the world, celebrate the Holi Festival better known as the Festival of Colors! They celebrate twice in one day by releasing colored chalk/powered so that Krishna, their god, could hear and see them and so she will welcome in spring.
I went in the morning with Amy and Nick and had fun with them. We walked around and feed the llamas, took plenty of pictures, and bought our chalk/powder. It was amazing being there and throwing it, and seeing nothing but chalk when everyone joined in. We left shortly after and went to see the Jones. We used their air com-pressure to get some of the mess off. Amy and I had so much in our hair that we had a fun new hair style at the end.
That afternoon I went with some of my friends, Kimberly and Tyler. We were on our way and I noticed Laureen walking and picked her up. Once we got there we had fun joining the singing and dancing in the temple. It was neat being able to learn one of their chants and see how they worship. Afterward we went back outside and had some more fun before we headed back home. Over all I had an amazing time! I'm so glad to have such wonderful friends.

Strawberry Cake

Tonight I really wanted to bake, so of course I did! Anywho I decided to bake a strawberry cake, with strawberry filling. YUM I know! It's not the best looking but it's just for fun so I didn't spend too much time worrying how it looked. It's black and green fondant in honor of the upcoming Saint Patrick's day!

EAT UP!
