Friday & Saturday- Graduation

Kevin (Ashley and Frankie's brother)  graduated high school Friday night! So we all went to support him. It was completely different from what we are used to, but it was still nice. It was out on the football field and so casual. Ashley and I felt over dressed in our causal dresses, but we just laughed.

Sunday- Lake!

Sunday we got up bright and early and headed off to the lake to relax. It was fun just hanging out getting to know everyone just a little better :D

After such a long day we were all so worn out and in pain we fell asleep pretty fast.

Monday- Vaca

So we all know Monday was Memorial Day.  Their dad's, father was killed Oct 2 1968, so we went to find his flag and visit his grave.

Then Tuesday we just got ready for the day and headed back to Oakland so I could fly back to SLC. I had such a fun trip I didn't want to leave! Hope you've enjoyed a little tastes of my week.

Repairs

So my bike has been acting up a lot lately and I needed to get it fixed. I was wondering who I knew that could do so when my home teacher called me up and asked if he could come do it all for me! HOW AMAZING! So here's Johnathan working on my bike. I was grateful that he was able to do so. He picked it up as a hobby on his mission and started to collect tools then so he had a big tool box and all.
Also the oil in my car needs changed. Me trying not to spend too much money was once again thinking, who can do it for me? JOSH! So I called up good ole Josh McKinney and he agreed to come change it for me next week!
I am so blessed to have people in my life that are so handy! Thanks to both guys! I owe you! :D

Derby

As everyone knows the first Saturday in May is the Kentucky Derby! :D
So of course I just HAD to make Derby Pie. I also had a little BBQ while it was still nice outside. Then afterward my roommates and I just goofed off and took a couple of pictures for fun. Enjoy!

For Sale!

So it's official, I have put my wonderful car on the market! This makes me extremely sad, but sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do. So if anyone knows someone looking it's a 2001 VW Golf, 4 door, 96660 miles, great shape, just the moon roof is broke so I took off for it. Trying to sell for about 8300. It really is an amazing car, I just have bills that need paid :(

New Semester

A new semester has started and I was suppose to graduate. However after doing some thinking I dropped down to a half time student, so I won't be graduating. If things go as planned at the end of the next winter semester I will get my associates then we'll see what I do from there.
Besides that my life is pretty much boring. I spend my days doing homework, and looking for a new job. So that really is about it with me. I'll let ya know if anything fun and exciting comes along my way.

Southern Girl?

I'm kind of bummed I'm not going home for the break like most people. I am going to spend time with Amy and Nick :D, however home is still home. Since I've been sick a lot I've just wanted to be home, so today I was thinking, why don't I bring a little of home here?! Great idea I know!

I started cooking dinner and everyone figured out I really am a southern girl. I fired zucchini and squash, yummy! I also made chicken, and on the side had mandarin oranges. I think most of us love Rooibos, so I made me a cup of my favorite tea with a little milk and sugar, and was ready to eat. (P.S. Mom. Papa... I could always use some more. I only have 2 tea bags left lol)
