As you know by now, and from the last post even, Gavin is a farmer and John Deere boy at heart. This year I asked him on a "date" to his first, of many to come, tractor pull. Knowing we were going earlier in the week I decided Gavin needed his first pair of cowboy boots to wear. When he got them on and noticed I had mine on, he danced around in them.
We got there a little early and he was able to watch them get the drag nice and muddy. He requested some popcorn/kettle corn and I agreed only if he would eat some dinner first. I have seen Gavin excited many times in his short 2 years (almost 3!) but never like he was tonight. He stood on the bench, jumped up and down, yelled at the tractors, cheered, and clapped like he won the lottery. We left a little early since it was getting late and was WAY past his bedtime, but oh man was it a goodnight. It was the best Mommy, Son date to day.

Mommy and Gavin's boots, He asked me to take the picture. |
He had a big grin on as we were about to leave the house. |
Dinner, kettle corn, drink, and tractors, what else could he ask for?! |
He had to stand up to get in on the action |
He has never watched something so seriously as he did tonight. |
He liked the tractor about to race |

I love this picture of my little farmer and me |

He was amazed how far the last tractor when and how fast. The expression on his face makes me smile. |
