For Sale!

So it's official, I have put my wonderful car on the market! This makes me extremely sad, but sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do. So if anyone knows someone looking it's a 2001 VW Golf, 4 door, 96660 miles, great shape, just the moon roof is broke so I took off for it. Trying to sell for about 8300. It really is an amazing car, I just have bills that need paid :(

It seems like all I do is cook, but no one here is complaining yet :D lol

New Semester

A new semester has started and I was suppose to graduate. However after doing some thinking I dropped down to a half time student, so I won't be graduating. If things go as planned at the end of the next winter semester I will get my associates then we'll see what I do from there.
Besides that my life is pretty much boring. I spend my days doing homework, and looking for a new job. So that really is about it with me. I'll let ya know if anything fun and exciting comes along my way.

Southern Girl?

I'm kind of bummed I'm not going home for the break like most people. I am going to spend time with Amy and Nick :D, however home is still home. Since I've been sick a lot I've just wanted to be home, so today I was thinking, why don't I bring a little of home here?! Great idea I know!

I started cooking dinner and everyone figured out I really am a southern girl. I fired zucchini and squash, yummy! I also made chicken, and on the side had mandarin oranges. I think most of us love Rooibos, so I made me a cup of my favorite tea with a little milk and sugar, and was ready to eat. (P.S. Mom. Papa... I could always use some more. I only have 2 tea bags left lol)

Well that takes care of dinner, now you ask what's for dessert?

Spring is in the Air!

First off I will update you all on my eye...
It opens every once and a while now, but for the most part it likes to stay closed. We got the results back from the MRI and they were normal :D So now we just have to figure out what's wrong...

I don't think I have ever been so excited for spring in my entire life! I was so sick of snow, that to celebrate the first day of spring we played outside! A group of us got on our shorts and tennis shoes and went down to Smith Park and played fun games. We played ultimate frisbee until Mike broke it :( but have no fear we played some soccer also! What's that I hear... kickball?! That's right we played all these fun games. It was nice to get out and do something again without freezing to death. It was 60 out... how amazing!

MRI

Alright here's a short update for those of you who are wondering what's going on. This Thursday I will be headed to Idaho Falls and having a brain MRI done. This will hopefully start to give us more information as to what it going on with me and my crazy self. So please keep me and my doctors in your prayers. I seem to have everyone puzzled as to what I could have, or couldn't have. At this point, I'm hoping and praying it's not a tumor of any sort.
Anyway I'm headed to bed... this thing drains all my energy. I seem to be sleeping ALL the time now! Night :D

3rd Nerve Palsy

Definition
Third nerve palsy describes a condition involving the third cranial nerve (also called the oculomotor nerve), which is responsible for innervating some of the muscles responsible for eye movement.
Description
Third nerve palsy results in an inability to move the eye normally in all directions. Injury to the third nerve can occur anywhere along its path, from where it originates within the brain to where it innervates the muscles that move the eyeball. Third nerve palsy prevents the proper functioning of the medial, superior, and inferior recti, and inferior oblique muscles. As a result, the eye cannot move up, down, or in. When at rest, the eye tends to look down and to the side, due to an inequality of muscle functioning. The muscle responsible for keeping the upper eyelid open (levator palpebrae superioris) is also affected, resulting in a drooping upper eyelid (ptosis).
Causes
A wide variety of conditions can result in third nerve palsy, including pressure and damage from tumors; blocked arteries or aneurysms leading to oxygen deprivation of nerves; meningitis; vascular complications of diabetes or high blood pressure; complications of migraine headaches; traumatic injury; birth injury; congenital defects; and conditions that strip nerve fibers of their myelin coating, resulting in slowed nervous transmission.


That's just a little on 3rd Nerve Palsy... here's an update on me now!

Anyway I went to another doctor today and he said that the 3rd nerve is not damaged, which controls the eyelid and eye, however it is weakened. I was told to put cold compacts on it along with taking ibuprofen. If things don't get better within a week he said to go back and that he would do an MRI. He also said if things get worse or if I start feeling a tingling sensation also to return because it could be 3rd nerve palsy!

I'm hoping things get better :D

Another "great day" here at BYU 'EYE'-daho

So I woke up today hardly able to move from the pain of my ulcers acting up once again. So I took my medicines and really didn't eat much since that doesn't help. However I went to eat some bread since that doesn't really bother it, and helps a little. Well my bread was bad... :( and made me really sad. After everyone got home from church this girl came over and had heard I wasn't feeling good, and had made me some homemade bread! It's very yummy by the way, and hit the spot. So I called mom to tell her about it because it made my day. While sitting there Naomi and I noticed that in literally in a minute my eye had started to swell. Needless to say my eye is now swollen shut again to add to the pain I'm in. Today just isn't my day it seems. Hopefully things get better real soon... I have a busy week of school.

Not much is new

Just thought I'd say hi to everyone! Not too much is new out here in Rexburg. It is getting warmer and the snow and ice are starting to melt slowly. I wore short even the other day!

Blurry for life?!

Alright I have had people ask me to see my lovely eye when it was swollen up. This picture doesn't do much justice for it, it had gone down some by the time I took it. However to this day, my vision is rather blurry :( The doctor said it shouldn't stay that way, just that it will take awhile for things to heal fully. Hope you all have a great V-day!

it actually looks pretty decent here. It was WAY swollen to the point I couldn't open it and they had to force it open :(
I just thought I'd add a good picture of me for fun... that way everyone didn't remember me looking gross :) hehe
