Fall and Halloween

Since my last post much has happened, so where to start?!

Well a quick update for those who don't know, Clint has had some health issues that we've been trying to figure out before the baby gets here, so we've been having lots of tests. So far nothing much has been shown on the results as to why and what is preventing them, but he's been having seizures. Which then means the house has not been worked on much, which is okay I'd rather have a healthy husband than a baby room finished. However it has been nice that his actual dad, Steve, has made a few trips up to help out. He's helped to take out a bathroom, mud and paint 2 closets, and flooring. Yesterday he came up and helped start and finish the flooring in the room, so now we just have to get the trim up, the doors up, and the shelf in the closet. After that's all complete we can start moving this kid into his room!

One Friday night we headed to the church chili cook off/ Halloween trunk or treat with the boys. We all looked cute in our shirts.

Carson, Cody, and Cole

Of course having been October that means fall, and Halloween. For those of you who have not realized I love this time of year mostly for one reason.... PUMPKINS! So Clint and I carved ours one night a couple of weeks ago. I don't think Clint realized how much I get into carving until he took 30 mins or so and I took about 2 hours... (this includes gutting and everything) tehehe.

For Halloween this year the twins were Mario and Luigi. If I might say so myself, they looked super cute.

Onto more baby news. With my blood condition I have, my doctor has been monitoring me closer than normal. Well this past week I went in for another ultra sound and appointment. We got some good and bad news all at the same time. Scooter is growing just fine and is still measuring rather larger for his "age". At 30 weeks he is guessed to be about 6 pounds 8 ounces, now if he really is who knows. On the bad news side, he is literally draining me and the placenta. As the doc explained it to us on a scale of 1-10, 10 being a healthy placenta that is fully functional mine is at a 2. Taking this into consideration and my condition, I will not be allowed to go full term. Myself and him are going for stress tests each week now to monitor him and see if he is still getting the nutrients he needs. Whenever my doctor feels it is unsafe for him, or myself she will  make the final call and either help to induce labor as I am already dilating, or if need be, have a c-section. In other words this little guy could come any day now. We're hoping he will hold on a little longer so I don't have to start shots to help his lungs develop and so he can cook more. We do know though he will not be a Christmas baby which makes me happy :)

I think that about does it for this 'quick' update on our family. Hope all is well with everyone else!

Family Baby Shower

While we had all of us home for Grandma's baptism, we thought we'd have the first baby shower where all the Burnett's got to attend... (grandma also of course). So my family had a little baby shower with just us. We were enjoying the girl time we figured the fun shouldn't end there, and we headed out shopping.  At the end of the day Clint and I got lots of fun things for Scooter (nickname).

Me with the gifts

Amy made these for Scooter

Laura and I

Grandma
Thanks for hosting the shower at your place

Some of the clothes Heather got for him

Grandma got him a fun floor gym

Mom and Papa got him this fun bounce chair that turns into a rocker when he's older!
Thanks again everyone for all you did for us!

Grandma's Baptism

After so many years of waiting and many of prayers, Grandma made the choice to be baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My mom joined when she was a teenager and every since then, she's always had hopes that someday her mother would as well. My grandfather passed away years ago and since then has had his work done. Since this has been a day our family has awaited for years we all wanted to attend. So Heather and her family made the trip from Utah and Clint and I made the trip down as well. To have everyone home and able to share the wonderful day with Grandma was amazing.

Like A Kid In A Candy Store!

Alright, I have always had a love for Dippin' Dots. Growing up there was a little store at the mall and when they closed it was as if the world ended (ok maybe I'm being dramatic, but that's how much I love the stuff). I've had some a few times over the years at amusement parks and zoos. Last weekend I was spoiled and had it twice and the Tipton Pork Festival. We went once with Clint's Mom and Jerry, then again with them and took Cody. His mom was kind enough to get me some :)

Last night was date night and we went to see The Bourne Legacy (pretty good movie). Afterward neither of us were really hungry and we had planned on eating dinner, but plans changed. Clint had heard there was an actual Dippin' Dots ice cream store near by, and he decided to find it for his lovely wife. It was kind of late and we figured it was closed, but when we got there... they were open! Do you know how excited I was... even Scooter was excited he started kicking like no other (that's the nickname we have given our little boy for now). Of course there was no way we were just going to drive by and not get any, this pregnant lady wanted some. The boy working said people get pretty happy when they find the place, but when I told him I had taken pictures, he said that was a first haha! Leave it up to me to be the crazy kid. they had so many choice of 'ice cream' and the 'ices' it was hard to make a choice. They even have cakes, and milkshakes, and so much more! Who would have known?!?! Clint ended up getting a milkshake and I went for the normal large serve of 'ice'. I've never been a fan of the ice cream there, the texture of it when it't that frozen is weird, I always get the 'ice' (it's more like a sorbet almost, but it's just flavored ice). Anyway I went a little picture happy because I wanted to share this place with everyone!
Words cannot express how amazing this site was to me!
Had to have proof the place was real, and that I was there :)
Sorry it's dark, like I said it was late
Forget a welcome rug... I want one of these for our house!
Taking it all in. Look at those cute car stools even.
Clint was so excited he found this place for me (and to have some lol)
Alright I look like crap... but for real this place  was worth a crappy picture for lol
Look at what all you can get!!!
Someday I will own one, just not when I'm pregnant so I can wear it more often .
That's right... a Dippin' Dots ice cream cake.
Some of the Ice flavors
They had 3 big cases full... so many choices to be made
And I couldn't even get 1 entire case in the picture, just imagine...yum
You can even layer your flavors if you want!!!!
I had Rainbow Ice on bottom and Watermelon Ice on top.
It was delicious.

NOW you want to come visit me don't you?!?! ... I want you to come visit, that way I have another excuse to go get some! Come on over to visit :)

Baby Bump...

I guess I should post some of these pictures, since I've put doing so off for so long. The pictures are in growing order... but I honestly don't remember when they all were taken, sorry I'm a slacker like that. Enjoy.

Fall = Love

I love Fall simply for the fact of pumpkins! Pretty sure everyone knows how much I LOVE LOVE anything pumpkin, even carving them. Today it finally seemed like fall to me, so I decided a homemade pumpkin pie with whipped cream and hot chocolate was needed.

 Preparing for pie making time!
Poured and ready for the oven...
 ... I'm impatient I want it now...
... Just a few more minutes....

It's finally done!!!!
(ignore the cut in the center... making sure it was done all the way through)

Fun with Cody

Lately we've had the chance to take Cody to some fun activities, and we wish we could have taken the twins but things are complicated with them. So I figured I should post a little update since it's been awhile.
The first few are at the hospital's family picnic day. Since Brenda (my mother in law) works there she invited us to go with her.
Clint and Jerry playing basketball... it's harder than it looks.
Clint, Jerry, and Thomas (our nephew)
Cody was so excited to do this! Fun right?!
He had a hard time staying up, it was funny to watch!

The next couple are just at the pork festival. The town next to us has this every year. They have little miss porky competitions and a lot more. It was my first time going and I was glad to go... I found Dip N' Dots there so that was a bonus :) They have a couple of streets for just rides so of course Cody thought he just HAD to ride some... and of course Grandma let him. Overall I think we all had a good time just spending time together and getting out of the house.
Cody wanted to do his Mohawk before we left, so this was the best I could style it.
Cody trying to ring the bell. He got up to powerful, that's the third one up, he was pretty proud of himself
Cody's the kid in the green next to the girl in the white shirt... third from the left I guess
I tried a couple times to get a picture of Cody on this, but it turned to quickly. He rode this one twice he liked it so much.

Growing

It's time for me to just come out and say it.. I'm growing fat! Okay, okay as my husband would say; " You're not fat, you're just pregnant!" Yes it is true I am! Clint and I are expecting our first, but number 4 to the family and once again it's a little boy. I guess I'm getting a taste of what my dad's life was like being surrounded by all girls... but I'm with all boys.

I have a blood condition (thanks ;) mom!) that puts me and the baby at a higher risk than most. Therefore my doctor has been monitoring me a little more closely than she normally would. So yesterday we went in for an ultra sound and we knew it was still early on and there was a chance we wouldn't be able to see what it was, but of course we got lucky! I am only a little over 14 weeks and they usually wait until around 15-20 weeks so they can make sure it's a boy or girl, however this little boy wanted us to know. It was perfectly clear it was a boy, and I guess he's not so little when we had our first ultra sound he was measuring about a week larger than what really was possible.

I've had far more than my share of morning sickness it feels like, and mine last all day EVERY day. I know everyone is different but man it was horrible while it lasted. I still get sick from time to time but nothing like it was for the first 12 weeks. As our little one grows and comes into this world we look forward to having him in our family.

Wonderful Gifts

Lately I've been wanting to do something new but didn't know what. So after my sisters Amy and Laura went and got their new haircut and highlights I knew what I wanted to do. I cut my hair once again. It was long enough to donate so I said goodbye to the hair and let them start at it. When it was done it looked cute as always.

Growing up I was used to my dad always grilling pretty much year round, so lately I've been mentioning how  Clint and I need to get a grill sometime. This past Thursday I wasn't feeling the best and didn't feel like doing much when he called and told me he would need my help getting a go-cart out of the truck when he got home. First off I wasn't too thrilled he had gone and bought one for the boys without even running it by me, but then that he wanted me, his sick wife, to help him! I let it go and was waiting out side when he pulled up and I got a shock. It was a NEW grill!! I was so shocked and surprised I didn't know what to say!! I gladly helped to get that thing out and start it up and made dinner that night. So here's a few picture of my new toy. Let's get this right... MY new toy. Clint does not cook or grill... this is for ME! (:
