Colors, Colors, Everywhere!

Every year the Sri Sri Radja Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, along with other Hindu temples across the world, celebrate the Holi Festival better known as the Festival of Colors! They celebrate twice in one day by releasing colored chalk/powered so that Krishna, their god, could hear and see them and so she will welcome in spring.
I went in the morning with Amy and Nick and had fun with them. We walked around and feed the llamas, took plenty of pictures, and bought our chalk/powder. It was amazing being there and throwing it, and seeing nothing but chalk when everyone joined in. We left shortly after and went to see the Jones. We used their air com-pressure to get some of the mess off. Amy and I had so much in our hair that we had a fun new hair style at the end.
That afternoon I went with some of my friends, Kimberly and Tyler. We were on our way and I noticed Laureen walking and picked her up. Once we got there we had fun joining the singing and dancing in the temple. It was neat being able to learn one of their chants and see how they worship. Afterward we went back outside and had some more fun before we headed back home. Over all I had an amazing time! I'm so glad to have such wonderful friends.

Strawberry Cake

Tonight I really wanted to bake, so of course I did! Anywho I decided to bake a strawberry cake, with strawberry filling. YUM I know! It's not the best looking but it's just for fun so I didn't spend too much time worrying how it looked. It's black and green fondant in honor of the upcoming Saint Patrick's day!

Pound of Pasta

Have you ever seen a pound of pasta?! You have huh... how bout a pound of HOMEMADE pasta?!? Well if you haven't your in for a treat. I was wondering what to have for dinner tonight and Chicken Alfredo sounded VERY good, however I didn't have any fettuccine noodles. That's right I made them! Pasta isn't that hard to make it's just time consuming if you don't have a pasta machine. Here's my adventure of making pasta without the machine :)

I started off on the cutting board then decided I would need the entire counter... I was right!
The beginning of rolling out the dough
Finally it is thin enough to call pasta
In the middle of cutting it into strips
The end is near and I finished cutting it all into thin pieces
Have you ever seen a pound of homemade pasta.... YES!
Cooking...
Ready to eat...
YUMMMMMMMM!!!

Cottonwood Canyon

Alright for about the past month many of you have heard about Jayson and I, so I decided it is finally time for you all to see who he is. Today we went snowshoeing up to Donut Falls in Cottonwood Canyon. We had a blast just taking our time up the mountain and enjoying all the beautiful scenery. We have decided that it's one of our new favorite things to do, so I'm sure that there will be many more adventures. It was nice to get out in nature and just talk and have fun. When we reached the fall Jayson had made sandwiches and hot chocolate for us, so cute! Anyway here are just some of the many pictures. I will post all of them on facebook so you can enjoy it all just like we did!

The fall is right behind us, you can't really tell but it was pretty in person.

Studio 600, Happy New Years!!!

This year for New Years, I was NOT traveling for the first time in about 3 years! So I decided to go out and have some fun at Studio 600. For those of you who do not know what it is, it's a club in Salt Lake. My friends and I had a blast and danced the night away. I had one of the guys ask me what it was with me and black men because they just all kept coming up to me wanting to dance. I think Scott even took a picture of one because he wanted proof lol! Anyway I hope everyone had a great new years, and has a great year to come!

i LOVE my friends

After Christmas I flew home Monday night, and Tuesday I was welcomed by many amazing friends. They had missed me so much that they wanted to get together, so we went sledding! I hate the cold, and was going to watch, until I was pushed down the hill and figured after that I might as well have some fun. Afterward we headed to Denny's for hot chocolate to warm up.

We had fun making a train and going down!

We then decided on Wednesday to have a little fun at Trafagla! Mini golfing it was :)
We had too many to play just one game so we broke off into two groups. We had a blast just playing around and goofing off. We went to McKay's when we were done to play the white elephant game and watch a movie.
