Halloween Date

Alright my Halloween fun started early this year. First it started with Cornbelly's with Amy and Nick, then carving pumpkins with them also. Following that I carved them with my ward, then my ward Halloween party/ date! I was set up on a blind date with Josh Murillo. He was Zorro and I was Medusa and we had a good night. He's a ballroom dancer and I felt like the belle at the ball as I was twirled around the floor. Here are some fun pictures from all the fun, and one of Amy and I in our awesome customs!

2 Best Friends + Conference = AMAZING weekend

Alright so this weekend started off a little shaky, but turned around and ended up being amazing! Friday afternoon I started to run a little fever so I took medicine and then headed out to Derrick's mission reunion. I meet some of his old companions and friends and just relaxed. Then we headed home and things took a big downward slope. By 10 I was running a fever of 102, then at 11 102.7! So to try and get my fever down I soaked in a cool bath. I got out and got dressed and it got worse, I started to vomit (Yuck I know). So we took my temperature again 103.66, ER here we come! I go and I was hooked up to an IV and got that pumping in me, took some blood and gave me some pain killers to help me relax. Amy and Nick were about to fall asleep, but I'm glad they took me, THANKS! Anyway I came home and went to bed and then around 5:30 woke up in tons of pain and took some more medicine, by 9:30 my fever was completely broke and never returned. This is where things turn around :D
So Saturday was the start of General Conference! We stayed home and Amy made some yummy food, french toast for brunch and Shish-Kabobs for dinner! The boys headed off to the Priesthood Session, then got home and Derrick and I headed out. We drove around Provo for a little while then went Mini Golfing!
Today Derrick and I got up early and started the journey to SLC, for General Conference! Mike was so sweet and gave us 2 tickets for the morning, so we got to enjoy the Spoken Word as well. Afterward we were walking back to the car when I saw a group of Elders and thought what the heck lets go see if Elder Elbert is there. Matt was one of my best friends in Rexburg (still is). He came to Kentucky right before he left on his mission and meet my parents and had a good little visit. So today when I saw him it made the weekend just AMAZING! I got to spend it with not just one best friend, but two!! So here are just a few pics from today.
Hope you all had a great weekend :D

GROSS!

Alright so I had the flu 2 weeks ago and well I have never really gotten better. I went to the doctor and everything. So I've been working anyway since I don't have my fever anymore. Well today I had an exciting day and thought I would share it with you. I was playing with Gregson when out of no where the kid throws up. Not just any throw up, he had the worst aim of all and threw up all over me. Needless to say it ended up in a chain reaction and I headed home for the day. GROSS!!

What an AMAZING weekend!

I was waiting for Amy to post about her birthday but she hasn't and I've been asked to be a few people so here it is. Amy's bday was the 5th of course and we had some fun! I started off the day heading up to Salt Lake to pick up none other than Derrick! That's right he is home from his mission and it was the first time we got to see each other again. I got up there and met his father and brother in law Chris, while we got Derrick some new jeans. Then afterward we headed back to Orem for hte birthday fun to begin. Heather, Bryan and Rylee headed down as well so we all spent the day with Amy. Amy decided that IHOP was the place to go and it was a great choice on her part. Then we went bowling! I think everyone had a great time as we played Skittle Bowling! For those of you who don't know what that is, you assign each color something different fun to do. For example we did Green for granny shots! Anyway we had a great time, then went back to our place for gifts and cake. We watched a little of the BYU game (they won!), then Derrick and I headed up to have dinner with his family. It was good to meet his sister Becky, and his mom again. I had met her once before for a short time before he left for his mission. Then we just hungout with them that night and had a nice time! At the end of the night it was so hard to say goodbye to Derrick but I know it had to be done. I just can't wait until I seem him next month.

Overall I think everyone enjoyed our time together, I know I did!

How old am I again?

So my birthday was on July 30th of course and I was glad to have most of my family around for it! For a weeks or so leading up to it Amy and Nick kept asking me what I wanted and I had no idea so I said sarcastically I wanted a Hannah Montana party. So needless to say, that's what I got! How old am I again, and how many 21 year old's do you know that had this much fun with that theme? LOL Anyway Here's just a little from my day :D

Baby Broke Down Today

I was driving down to Orem today when Baby broke down. I was going up the mountain when I called Papa and told him that I didn't think my car would make it. He said not to worry and that my car would be fine until I got to Amy and Nick's place. Well long story short, my car didn't make it to their house. I was ALMOST to the Lindon and Baby started slowing down and flashing all the lights at me. I was lucky to get pulled over to the side of the road just in time for it to actually die on me. Even the hazard lights wouldn't work, so I called good ole Papa once again. He got AAA on the phone and they said they'd be there soon. In the mean while Bryan came to let me sit in his nice AC and got me drink :D Then a little later AAA showed up, and Papa! So my Baby was hooked up and towed away to the VW dealer in Provo. Hopefully things will go alright and they can fix her and soon.

Thanks for everything everyone! It was a crazy day as we got my car to the shop and had to UNload everything in my car into Papa's rental car, and Amy and Nick's car. I am grateful that my parents are out here visiting for the week and are able to help with everything that's going on!! I LOVE YA'LL!!!! :D

Night @ the Dunes

So last night we celebrated Naomi, Megan, and my birthdays. We had cake and ice cream at our place, then headed out to the dunes for a bonfire. Matt and I played fluffy bunny (or chubby bunny), and I won! Not by much, but I did, then I had to spit it all out but it was fun anyway. Then Ely made a mad dash to jump into one of our pictures and landed on the sand, so I ended up sitting on his knees and we fell over laughing. Then we just hung out and had fun and headed home. It ended up being a good night and we all had some fun. I'm going to miss my friends up here, but know I'll be back to visit! :D

Me TOTALLY winning! lol

Just thought I'd let everyone know! I'm glad he's home and we talk often. I really missed having my best friend around for the last 2 years but I know he was doing what he was meant to do and I am VERY proud of him! Welcome home Derrick!

The page is turning

As the semester ends this chapter of my life is coming to a close, however it turns the page for the next to start. I'm fighting the change and being stubborn (like always lol), but it seems I am moving yet again! I've been trying to figure things out for awhile now and I wanted to stay as close to Rexburg as possible, but it seems that the Lord wants me in Utah. I am however glad that I'm still out west. I know I've been the person to say I would never live out west, but as I have lived out here for the past 3 years, I've grown to love it. Don't get me wrong I love it back east and I'm a BIG southern girl at heart and will always be, but for now this is home. Provo here I come...

I am excited to be closer to my sisters again of course, and my new niece Rylee Ann! I just wish that my new nephew Dominic Weston was closer to me (along with his family :D) Rylee was born on June 20th, to my oldest sister Heather and this was her first. Then on the July 4th, Dominic was born to my second oldest sister Laura. This means that little Miss. Bethany is now a BIG sister! I'm glad to have both of these new kids in our family! Congrats y'all!

Also I just wanted to say how EXCITED I am, Derrick comes home in less than a week now! I get my best friend back, no matter how things workout, I'll be glad to have him back. I've missed just calling him up and talking about the everyday life and hanging out.

Anyway I should get, I have some studying to do for finals in just 2 weeks!!!! CRAZY how this semester went by sooo fast. Love y'all!

Too good to be true!

i had gone too long without being sick and I thought it was too good to be true! Well today I woke up swollen once again. However it wasn't my eye; it was my lips tounge and its spread to my throat. I went to the doctors and of course they are trying benadryl in double doses. So far it's not helping at all. So hopefully things will get better soon and I'll be back to normal, whatever that is :( I'll let ya know what goes down.

*Devotional*

A couple weeks ago my friend Emily spoke in church and told some funny stories. However these stories made you step back and realize that the church leaders are human just like us. As she told stories of her family and how she can't wait for Grandpa to come visit this week you just stand in awe. Did I mention my friend Emily's last name... Eyring! (Some how I make friends with Pres. Monson's granddaughter AND Pres. Erying's, I must be doing something right lol!) Anyway President Eyring is her grandfather, and he was yesterday's devotional speaker. He spoke on the miracle of the Rexburg temple, and BYU-I, and how they are special. He said as he drives into town it always appears as if the temple is on campus, which it does look like. Because of this we are blessed that we are able to attend 2 of the Lord's school's to learn and grow according to His will. Anyway I just thought I'd share a little of what's happened this week for me.
